Logan Bottoms to Confluence of the East Fork of White River

This stretch of Lower Salt Creek flows very well except during periods of drought (Sept. and Oct. in most years). This trip is especially interesting when plenty of water is being released from the Monroe Reservoir Dam.

It takes approximately 5-6 hours to get from Logan Bottoms to the landing at the Old St. Rd. 158 bridge. From the Old St, Rd. 158 Bridge to the confluence of East Fork of White River takes another 3-4 hours.

At the confluence of Lower Salt Creek and the East Fork of the White River is an ideal campsite at the top of a forty foot high bluff overlooking both streams. It is a bit of a dangerous climb with camping gear but worth the effort. This exclusive campsite is private property so be certain to notify Pathfinder Outfitters of your desire to utilize it to gain access.
